All the binaries used are on the pi_css5 program page, unless noted otherwise. Performance is time taken to calculate 1048576 (2^20) digits of π, recorded in seconds. Relative speed is number of times faster than the baseline machine, an HP Kayak XU running RedHat Linux 7.2. A very special thanks to all those of you who've sent in results, and by all means, send in more!

Mac OS Macintosh MacOS 7-8.6: built with MrC 5.0d1 -opt speed,unroll,unswitch flags. MacOS 9 & X: built with Metrowerks CodeWarrior Pro 7.2 with level 4 speed optimizations.

Linux Linux x86: built with Intel C/C++ 5.01 and -O2 -G6 flags. Linux IA64: built with Intel C/C++ 5.01 with -O3 -{prof_gen,prof_use} flags. Linux Alpha: built with Compaq C 6.4.9 with -O5 -fast -arch {generic,ev6}.

HP-UX HP-UX PA-RISC: built with HP CC A.10.32.3 and -fast +Odataprefetch {+DA1.1,+DA2.0}. HP-UX IA64: built with HP aC++ and -fast +Odataprefetch
