This trip was a big surprise to everyone, especially me. Having learned that Whitney permits were rarer than ice cubes on a hot Houston day, we miraculously got one the day we arrived in the eastern Sierra (having planned on a completely different hike). So we went. All the pictures were taken in the 3 days we took to get up and down Mt. Whitney. Let them speak for themselves.
