After going to Chamonix, I wanted to do another hiking trip, preferably somewhere with less trails, and open refuges, so I could do a circuit. Since the Pyrenees were supposed to be lower, wilder, and farther south, that's where I ended up. Still plenty of snow, but the weather was fantastic, and there were very few people on the trails. I met plenty of marmots, goats, sheep, cows and horses though. Three days of hard hiking in spring in one of the most beautiful areas I've yet been to.
